Chaney Enterprises, a leading provider of construction materials and services, recently relocated its corporate headquarters from Waugh Chapel to Annapolis—a move that required a comprehensive IT infrastructure overhaul. DataLink was proud to partner with CTS, Chesapeake Telephone Systems and BGC to deliver a seamless technology transition for Chaney’s new home.

Collaborative Planning and Implementation

Working closely with CTS, BGC, and Chaney’s IT team, DataLink developed and executed a detailed plan for the new building’s cable plant and high-availability network backbone. The project was designed to support current business needs while ensuring scalability for future growth. Project Highlights include:

Cabling Solutions:

• 364 Cat6 drops installed for offices and modular furniture, ensuring robust connectivity throughout the facility.
• 24 TV locations for C-level suites, conference, and training rooms, supporting modern collaboration and presentations.
• MDF and IDF build-out on each of the four floors, enabling efficient network management and expansion.
• Fiber backbone connecting each of the three IDFs to the main distribution frame for high-speed, reliable data transfer.
• Logitech Teams Room deployment in conference and training rooms, facilitating seamless video conferencing and collaboration.

Network Infrastructure:

• Comprehensive network design to support high availability and redundancy.
• High Availability Firewall deployment and configuration, safeguarding critical business data and operations.
• High Availability Switching deployment and configuration, ensuring uninterrupted network performance.
• Wireless design, deployment and configuration, providing secure and reliable Wi-Fi access throughout the headquarters.
